Year 2039, after World War destroys human civilization, this region is not run again by the government, but by the Mishima Zaibatsu's strongest companies. To calm the seething mass of this dystopia, Mishima King of Iron Fist Tournament sponsors, or Tekken, where fighters battle until one is left standing, which in turn will receive a lifetime of stars and wealth. We were introduced to this world through the eyes of Jin Kazama violence, a teenage rebel fighters into the streets of the tournament to avenge the death of his mother that he blames on the most powerful president and the Mishima zaibatsu control - Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament, but in doing so, he began to find the devil in the past and the problem shows dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the existence of mankind.
